FAQs

  • 1. What makes Hatch Fitness different from other gyms?

At Hatch Fitness, we focus on you, not just the workout. Our programs and equipment are specifically designed and chosen for active older adults and those with chronic conditions. The Classic track is for adults looking to maintain or gain strength, fitness, and mobility. The EMBRACE track incorporates specialty programming for those with chronic conditions and mobility restrictions. We give you personal attention, ensure safe movements, and create a supportive, welcoming community.

  • 2. What programs do you offer?

We offer Classic group fitness classes, small group training and one-on-one personal training. Through our EMBRACE track, we offer specialized programs for Parkinson’s, chronic conditions and mobility challenges. Every class is designed to be safe, effective, and fun.

  • 3. Can I take Classic classes if I’m on the EMBRACE track?

We encourage our EMBRACE members to try Classic classes as well. Please talk with an instructor to ensure the class will be appropriate for you. All instructors are well versed in offering movement modifications.

  • 4. Do I need to be in shape before starting?

Absolutely not! We meet you where you are. Whether you’re just starting or getting back into fitness after a break, our instructors and trainers will tailor workouts to your abilities and comfort level. Most of our members start as beginners. We provide modifications and guidance so everyone feels comfortable and successful.

  • 5. What can I expect in class?

Each class is welcoming and designed for all fitness levels. We start with a gentle warm-up, move through safe, guided exercises (with modifications if needed), and finish with a transition and stretch. Our focus is on building strength, balance, and confidence. You can also expect positivity and fun. We want you to enjoy being with us! For specific class descriptions, click the button below.

  • 6. What should I wear and bring with me?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily, such as workout leggings, shorts, or loose-fitting pants with a breathable top. Supportive athletic shoes are recommended. For our EMBRACE boxing classes, you’ll need wraps and gloves. You may purchase them at Hatch Fitness or bring your own. We provide yoga mats and all other equipment. Also bring a water bottle. If you are in EMBRACE boxing, a water bottle with a flip-up straw top makes drinking while gloved up easier!

  • 7. Do you offer a free trial?

Yes! Your first class is on us. We want you to experience the Hatch difference before committing. Simply reach out so we know to expect you!

  • 8. Do you accept insurance-based memberships?

We don’t currently accept insurance-based memberships, but we’re actively exploring partnerships with programs like SilverSneakers and Renew Active. This may be available in the future, and we’ll keep our members updated if it becomes an option.

  • 9. What membership and package options do you offer?

For group fitness, we offer monthly memberships and single day passes. We also offer small-group and one-on-one personal training. There are discounted packages for personal training (4, 8, or 12 sessions). No long-term contracts, just simple plans designed to fit your needs.

  • 10. How do I sign up for a class or session?

You can sign up through our website, the Momence app, call us directly (262) 462-0358, or stop by the studio. We’re here to help if you need it.

  • 11. What are your staff’s qualifications?

Our trainers maintain a nationally recognized personal training certification. All Hatch staff are not only CPR certified but experienced in working with older adults, chronic conditions and adaptive fitness. Many also hold additional specialty certifications. We’re passionate about creating safe, science-backed programming.

  • 12. Is the gym accessible for people with mobility challenges?

Yes, our facility is ADA compliant with space and safety prioritized. EMBRACE classes can be adapted for all levels of mobility.

  • 13. Can I bring a friend or family member?

Absolutely! Everyone’s first class is free so please bring along friends and family to try Hatch Fitness out.

  • 14. What is your cancellation policy? Can I come late/leave early?

We understand life happens! There is no penalty for cancellation, although we’d appreciate a call or online cancellation, so we don’t worry about you. Personal training sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. And while we encourage you to attend the full class, we understand if you are late or need to leave early. No problem!

  • 15. Do you provide help with nutrition or wellness?

While we don’t offer formal nutrition plans, our trainers and our Certified Health Coach can provide general wellness and lifestyle guidance to help you feel your best. We also host occasional workshops on healthy living and hope you join us.
